Description: As-Needed Firebreak Services Project Location: Vallejo, CA Proposal/Bid Due Date: 3/5/2026 The City of Vallejo is soliciting Bids for As-Needed Firebreak Services. This RFP may be a single award or multiple awards based on evaluation team recommendations. The contract will not guarantee set amounts to be purchased and is subject to funding approval by the City Council. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, tools, transportation, equipment, and facilities required for firebreak services as needed by the City’s Water Department. The Contractor will provide firebreak services anywhere on the 8,000 acres of land managed by the City’s Water Department including, but shall not limited to, the areas around Lake Frey, Lake Madigan, Lake Curry, Skyview Tank, and the Cordelia Reservoir. Scope of work may include, but shall not be limited to: • Fire disking • Vegetation management • Unpaved road and trail maintenance • Excavation • Clearing weirs and weir pools • Clearing vegetation from lake shore edges • Re-grading outfalls Other Details MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS State of California Contractor’s License – At the time of Bid submission, the Contractor must have an active and current State of California Contractor’s License. A copy of the license shall be included with the Bid. Public Agency/Utilities Firebreak Service Experience – Previous experience working with public agencies at any level or public utilities. This can include, but not limited to, local, state, or federal government agencies, and water districts. A list of 3 major clients and general project descriptions of comparable scope of work and magnitude shall be provided as part of the Bid.
